| PSYCHOTROPE, for iPhone and iPod touch, is an interactive, multimedia art experience, a nano-reality that can fit in your pocket. Sublimely textured octahedral crystals dance to specifically composed "Troposonix" soundtracks. Mesmerizing, energizing -- adjust the Kinetic Energy Levels of the dancing octahedra to chill you out or rev you up. Re-sync the movement of the crystal with the rhythm to drop into a new psychotropic space/time continuum. PSYCHOTROPE was created by K. L. Schafer, neuro-scientist, electronic music composer, multimedia visual artist, and founding member of music group Silicon Soul. It is based on Schafer's electronic interactive art installation Digital Zoetrope (2010), part of his Beyond Cubism: Octahedronism exhibit at the Butler Institute of American Art.
